Day 3

I ran up the drive way this morning and didn't get out of breath I just completed my workout I am sweating and feeling great! Day 3 is under my belt YES!! oh and I am 1.5 lbs lighter too boot!!!

Day2

Yea I made it to day 2 I have completed the exercise DVD for today and I am a little shaky but feeling great I am actually energized after a work out and even if I am a little sore from moving muscles that Haven't been moved in awhile I feel better than I have in ages. I am keeping going with this I can complete the 60 days only 58 more to go!!!!!!!

Day 1

Today I am starting the Insanity 60 day challenge today is the fitness test day so We will see how many of the exercises I can do in a minute so I can track my progress. I will also do weigh ins at the same time I do the fit tests. Which is every 2 weeks. I am excited and motivated to complete this challenge I know it is going to be hard but I want to do my best and really push myself with this program when I complete this program I hope to be healthier and happier with my body. So wish me luck because it starts today!

Morning music and red hair!

I listen to Pandora a lot because it is easy and I bought the hubby a Pandora One subscription last year for fathers day so no commercials!! So first song this morning was 30 Seconds to Mars (my favorite living band of all time) The Kill which is my favorite song by them although Hurricane comes in at a very close second.
My coffee got really cold quickly this morning and now I need to either dump it or reheat it. I am busy making cookies and then bread later of course the bowl I need for my stand mixer has cookie dough in it so I will be in bake mode today plus cleaning up a storm my hubby will be back today and I am excited about that. He has been gone a week and I have missed him it has been quiet and lonely in bed without him, but the kids ahve been great.
I am getting the itchy I need to be outdoors and take pictures bug recently so I am have to make time while he is out on vacation to go hiking and take pictures. I might even go over the mountain and see my photography friend. I think he will love my new hair.
Yes I dyed my hair red it has been black/brown for several years which is a record for me thank you very much lol plus my hair is long another strange thing usually it is short and sometimes blond. I love changing my hair around it grows back so why not have fun with it. I have been blond, red, purple (not like bright purple but it was a black that was more plum than black), Black, and now red again. I've had short hair that was like an inch long to now where my hair is past my shoulders now the back has been cut shorter in December which gives me more of bob like Gina Carano this red is interesting it goes from the bright red of the box to fading into a dark black red since I still had black hair color on my hair. It is a cool effect. Of course red fades the quickest and needs more maintenance than black but it was nice to do a change. I am also a fan of the feathers or hair extensions that you can use crimp beads with these offer a fun temporary look that does little to damage your hair.
Well that is it for today got to go get some work done. Current book I am reading is "Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs" by Molly Harper when I am done I'll write a review.

 After styling and putting on makeup I am having fun and I think it brings out my green eyes really well.

weight loss

Well I have lost 21 lbs and it is steadly coming off my blood work is excellent other than being overweight and now for some reason when I have always had perfect or close to perfect Blood pressure it is high so I need to keep losing weight and reach my goal weight which my Doctor changed from 150 to 165 so I am even closer to my goal weight.
My mom got HBP in her 30's so it look like I might be the same but when I achieve my goal weight we will see if it is still high or not I do not want to go on medication unless it is necessary.
I am reading some manga right now but haven't picked up a book recently.
I am going to listen to an audio book called "Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs" by Molly Harper White we will see if it is as good as the title makes it seem.

Postive attitude

So I have noticed lately that I have been yelling at my children more than usual feel stressed out and not happy in general so today I am trying something different I am trying to speak with a softer tone even when I am made that my kids got into something or are doing something they know they are not suppose to do and try to tell them more gently what they are doing is wrong. I do not want my kids only remembering mommy being stressed and yelling at us all the time. I want them when they think back on their childhood that mommy had more smiles and laughs than yelling a punishing. This is hard when they tend to do something and it makes you angry but I am going to try and not react right away take a deep breath and then choose how and what I say carefully.
I am also going to be getting up earlier and working out and doing some yoga to help balance myself and feel more energized and not so crappy all the time. I have lost 16 lbs so far and I want to keep that up and lose more this isn't about being a small size it is about being healthy and happier with me and to be able to see my kids grow and be able to run after them and play and participate in their lives. I didn't make a new years resolution this year but I think this is going to be mine to be more positive to smile more and be angry less and achieve the goals I have set for myself.
